16. KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING
Often negotiations get bogged down. You are the only person at the negotiation you can control. Here is a very effective way to get things moving again.
It's time to 16. F-A-C-E yourself to get back on track:
16. Focus on exactly what is happening and your role in it.
16. Analyze what is happening by identifying what your counterpart needs, what has broken down, and what needs to be done to make your counterpart more receptive and change the dynamics in a positive direction.
16. Change your behavior so your counterpart is less resistant to "hearing" your point of view.
16. Evaluate whether the changed behavior is working and keep repeating the process until the desired result is achieved.
